Therapeutic ultrasound is used to reduce pain, increase circulation, and facilitate healing on a cellular level. Ultrasound can be helpful in reducing inflammation and promotes healing of injuries by expanding capillaries. Ultrasound therapy is especially effective for sprained joints, joint inflammation and swelling as well as for post operative scar tissue formation and prevention of scar tissue adherence. Ultrasound generates sound waves that are higher than the audible spectrum (20-20kHz) to reach structures that are too deep to be reached by ice, heat, or manual therapy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
